The Baetis Parachute is a dry fly pattern designed to imitate Baetis mayflies, commonly referred to as Blue-Winged Olives (BWOs). This pattern features a slender body. The parachute hackle, in white, helps the fly sit low in the water and enhances visibility for the angler.

This fly is excellent for use during Baetis hatches, especially in early spring and late fall when these insects are most active. The Baetis Parachute works well in slow-moving waters, streams, and rivers, and is highly effective for targeting trout that are feeding on emergers and adults near the surface. Its low profile mimics a mayfly about to take flight, enticing fish to strike.
