The Elite XL reel, manufactured for DNA Fishing Tackle, combines affordability with high quality, making it a top seller in this category of reel. The standout feature of this reel is its super lightweight design. Precision cutting makes it one of the lightest reels on the market, complete with a sealed drag system.

The drag system is protected by a central drag cover, effectively preventing dust and sand from entering. To keep the reel as light as possible while maintaining functionality, the drag is not fully sealed. This means that a small amount of water can still enter the drag system. If used in saltwater, it is recommended to clean the reel after each use to ensure longevity.

Even though it is not 100% sealed, the Elite XL reel offers superior protection compared to most reels marketed as waterproof.
